    Dear Customer,

    We are updating the IP address of our cPanel server due to the deprecation of some of our IP address ranges. Please review the details below to understand how this change may affect you.

    Who is Affected?

    • Customers who are using the VoltHosting nameservers for their domain ns5.volthosting.co.uk & ns6.volthosting.co.uk :

      • No action is needed, as our nameservers will automatically update the IP change without user action.

    • Customers using an external nameserver/DNS service (such as CloudFlare):

      • Must manually update their DNS records to point to the new cPanel server.

    IP Address Changes

    • OLD IP Address: 193.110.160.70

    • NEW IP Address: 185.195.238.2

    Other Important Information

    • Customers who have a dedicated or custom IP address will be contacted separately to arrange this change.

    • CUSTOMERS SHOULD NOT CHANGE THE IP ADDRESS OF THEIR DNS RECORDS UNTIL INSTRUCTED.

    • This notice serves as a notification of this change. This change has NOT taken effect yet.

    • The time stated on the maintainable window is when affected customers should update their DNS records (if required to do so), not beforehand.

    Due to engineer availability, the maintenance has been delayed. However, the work is now in progress.

    Your VPS/VDS machines and other internal resources will be gracefully shutdown shortly.

    We are starting with cloud02-slv02. Additional updates will not be provided per hypervisor. You will be notified once the maintenance is completed.

    We appreciate your patience during this maintenance window! We expect that the estimated downtime per hypervisor will be approximately 10 minutes.

    We plan to upgrade the hardware on our Hypervisor nodes. This upgrade will provide you with updated hardware and performant hosting solutions. This upgrade includes upgrading the CPU to a newer model, and upgrading the RAM capacity and speed, across all hypervisor nodes.

    This upgrade will require your virtual machines (VPS/VDS) to be powered down for the short maintenance window.

    We will prepare the systems as much as possible before gracefully shutting down your servers. Once the hypervisor has been upgraded, we will power on your server again. We expect that the estimated downtime for this service will be around 10 minutes per hypervisor.

    This upgrade will be done across all of VoltHostings hypervisor nodes, one at a time.

    This maintenance window will also affect VoltHosting services which are running on our shared hypervisor nodes. Please check the table for all affected services.

    Critical services are high availability, meaning that there are multiple nodes in a cluster running the software. They are on different hypervisors, and thus will not experience downtime, but are included in the table.

    We apologise for the short downtime, but this maintenance is essential to continue providing you with high-quality, powerful, reliable and secure hosting solutions.

    The last hypervisor node for Cloud02 has been updated and is now fully operational.

    We are now running checks to ensure that all services are operating as expected. You may now continue to use your services hosted on Cloud02, as there will not be any further downtime.

    The first hypervisor has been upgraded successfully with only approximately 6 minutes of downtime.

    Notifications won't be posted for any further hypervisor upgrade completions. A notice will be posted once all hypervisors are updated.
